This podcast list is becoming an annual occurrence for Marketers Take Flight. This is now the third annual podcast list article I’ve written. This year I decided to focus just on podcasts for marketing coordinators. You can read the first one here and the second one year.
I think I like updating this list because new podcasts are launching all the time, and some of my old favorites are just getting better.
Why do I love podcasts?
Because they are audio-based, I can listen and learn while doing other tasks. I can listen while I take the dog for a walk or while folding laundry. If anything can make me want to fold laundry, it’s that I get to listen to podcasts while folding. Are you with me on my hatred of folding laundry?!?!? I digress.
Second, most of the podcasts come out on a weekly basis with some even coming out daily. This means I am getting new and updated content regularly. This is especially important to keep up with marketing and industry trends.
Lastly, many of them feature interviews with other people who work in marketing or the A/E/C industry. They share their ideas and how they achieve great things. By listening to them talk about their career or issue they solved rather than read about it, I feel like I am truly connecting with them.
This Year’s Narrow Focus – Just for Marketing Coordinators
This year, I thought I would focus a bit on just my list of recommended podcasts for marketing coordinators. If you are a marketing coordinator who works at an engineering, architecture, or construction firm, then these are my TOP recommendations for you.
I know you probably don’t have time to subscribe to dozens of shows so I thought I would narrow it down to the top four shows. Then you can listen for yourself and let me know if you like them.
These top recommendations include a mix of information, tools, and inspiration specifically for those who are early in their career and looking to move up to more challenging things. They include a mix of podcasts specific to the A/E/C industry, business and marketing skills, and professional development.

Copyblogger FM is a weekly, short-form broadcast. Each week, she and a cast of rotating experts analyze the week in content marketing, copywriting, email marketing, conversion optimization, mindset, and much more. If you want to improve your writing skills for proposals, email marketing, or content marketing, this is a great show to learn from some experts.

Women at Work
This podcast is produced by Harvard Business Review. While the target audience is women, I think both men and women can get valuable advice for personal development and career growth from listening to this podcast. What I like about this podcast, is that the hosts not only talk about problems or issues we face at work, but they provide practical advice to help you overcome them.
In fact, one of their episodes inspired the article: Marketers, Stop Apologizing.
A few episodes I think you may like include:
- Seeing Ourselves as Leaders
- When You Work in a Male-Dominated Industry
- Navigating Conflict
- Sorry Not Sorry

Social Media Marketing Podcast
I have been listening to this podcast for about 7 years now. It’s consistently been listed as a top-10 marketing podcast. The host, Michael Stelzner, interviews leading marketing experts each week. Don’t let the name fool you, it’s not just about social media marketing. He has been branching out to other areas of content marketing and online marketing in the last year or so.
I will admit that most episodes are geared to the B2C online marketing world, so I read each description before investing the 45 minutes to listen to the episode.
Some recent episodes I have liked are:
- Messaging Matters: How to Attract Your Ideal Customers
- Video Marketing Strategy: The Power of Video During the Customer Journey
- How to Succeed with LinkedIn Ads
- LinkedIn Page Content Strategy: What Marketers Need to Know

They interview a wide variety of guests who work in the industry as well as expert consultants who support the industry.

Bonus: The 5th Recommended Podcast – Coming Soon?
I have been toying around with producing a podcast for Marketers Take Flight. As you can see from the list above there are not many podcasts focused on marketing and proposal management for the A/E/C industry.
What do you think? Would you like me to start a podcast? If so, let me know some topics you would like to see covered and what cool/interesting guests I should interview. Just leave me a comment below.
